Friday 9th April – Email Update – Return to Play
Exciting times – goalball is back up and running in 2 WEEKS TIME! But, as before, we have lots of things we need to do before we arrive at the training session.
Training Dates: April – June
Here are the training dates for you to put in your diaries. As you can see, we’ve managed to get up and running sooner than we thought!
Saturday 24th April
Saturday 22nd May
Saturday 12th June
Saturday 26th June
ALL of these dates will be at: Kings’ School, Kings Road (Off Romsey Road), Winchester, SO22 5QB. This postcode will take you to the correct side of the school.
Opt In – HAS TO BE COMPLETED BY EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO STEP INSIDE THE SPORTS HALL!
As before, ALL (volunteers, parents, carers, players, supporters etc.) people who attend training on Saturday (and future trainings) will need to ‘Opt In’ to goalball. This means that you understand the risks that coming to training has and that you agree to follow the Covid-19 procedures set out by the club. We will not let you attend training if you haven’t filled this in.
We have updated our risk assessment, which you can find here. There are minimal changes from before.
We are looking forward to seeing you all again on a Goalball court soon.
Pip – Your Covid-19 officer!
Monday 15th February – Email Update
Monday11th January – Email Update
We are looking at organising something to keep the club communicating through this difficult lockdown – a bit like our social media things we were doing in the middle of last year.
In the meantime – Keep safe!
Monday 2nd November – Email Update
Good Whilst it lasted!
We loved seeing you all a few weeks ago. Thank you for doing as asked and following the guidelines.
The coaches were very impressed with the level of play and it was good to see that you all remembered how to play Goalball even if some of you did have to adjust to the extra height you had gained during Lockdown 1.
We were busy preparing for the next session but sadly COVID has had other ideas and we are now entering another Lockdown.
We will keep you informed of what future plans are. We are currently looking at dates for 2021 so you can get these in your diaries.
Pip and the committee 🙂
